Open mic + THE BLUESTOONS: The Blues Toones are Graham Toone on piano and Yvonne Toone on vocal and blues harp. Their music veers towards the jazzier side of the blues with some boogie woogie piano thrown in. Both are also involved in the 9-piece Big Blues Tribe and the acoustic-based Mumbo Jumbo. |

Open mic + MARK BENNETT: Mark Bennett usually plays what is best described as 'laid back acoustic rock with a hint of blues and just a dash of jazz'. You can perhaps expect a little bit of cross over, but for this set the emphasis is very much on his first love, the blues. |

SLIDE GUITAR SHOOTOUT. This will be a whole evening of Slide Guitar playing. The first part of the evening will be open mic for anybody who wants to play slide. Towards the end of the evening, anybody who wants to can enter the Shootout - one song each and the winner (judged on audience applause) gets the contents of the hat. Contact Ken Stratford if you want to play or enter the Shootout. |
